The Ghosts are out again
For the 2019 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, John Davies was invited to show his tableau, My Ghosts. The show ran from 10 June to 12 August 2019, at the Royal Academy of Arts, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BD.

John Davies works feature in the 110th anniversary of the Museo de Bellas Artes in Bilbao
In October 2018, Bilbao’s Museo de Bellas Artes organised a major exhibition, rearranging the collection. Entitled ABC – El alfabeto del Museo de Bilbao, and curated by Kirmen Uribe, the exhibition features works by John Davies, including a room for the letter ‘W’, devoted to Davies’s work ‘(Every) War Memorial, and this head, ‘Flemish Head’.

John Davies’s large scale tableau, My Ghosts, remains on display at Turner Contemporary in Margate until 7 May 2018. In addition, two drawings are on show as part of the ‘Journeys with The Wasteland’ exhibition at the same venue.

John Davies’s exhibition My Ghosts was on display at Turner Contemporary in Margate until 11 February 2018. The show consisted of two major works: The Deerson Series (above) and My Ghosts, a tableau of figures, as well as a selection of drawings. My Ghosts remains on display until 7 May 2018.
John Davies exhibition at Turner Contemporary, Margate
From 14 November 2017 until Spring 2018, a major installation of new sculptures by John Davies will be on show at Turner Contemporary in Margate. This exhibition brings together a new, large-scale tableau alongside a series of scarecrow-like sculptures, and a selection of the artist’s drawings. It will coincide with exhibitions by Tracey Emin and the French sculptor Jean Arp.
